“The tragedy is not that we are alone, but that we cannot be. At times I would give anything in the world to no longer be connected by anything to this universe of men. But I am a part of this universe, and the most courageous thing to do is to accept it and the tragedy at the same time.”
— Albert Camus, from Notebooks 1951-1959

concept: a game called “john mulaney or cecil palmer?” where you have to guess if a quote was said by popular stand-up comedian john mulaney or fictional radio host cecil gershwin palmer
this might sound easy, but please keep in mind that john mulaney has
said “whoa, that tall child looks terrible! get some rest, tall child!
you can’t keep burning the candle at both ends!” and cecil palmer has
said “alligators: can they kill your children? yes.”
John has said “🎶Because we’re Delta Airlines, and life is a fucking nightmare! 🎶” and Cecil has said “Delta Airlines, because it’s not like you’re safe anywhere else.”

the fact that amy adams didn’t win for sharp objects makes my blood fucking boil she is the most underrated actesss of our generation and this is legitimately her best role to date and the fact that once again she has been overlooked is unforgivable AND she has just as many oscar nominations as leonardo decaprio and there was a whole ass movement about giving him an oscar bc he had been nominated so many times. where is that kind of passion for miss adams???? and on top of that she’s gotten as many nominations as he has in a shorter period of time. we need more love and respect and recognition for amy adams this is the hill i will die on
As always, here are my personal favourite red carpet looks from the 2019 Golden Globe Awards (Kiki Layne, Constance Wu, Sandra Oh, Danai Gurira, Laura Harrier, Gemma Chan, Thandie Newton, Janelle Monae).
